When I began my self quarantine over three weeks ago, I decided that I would take the time to be productive. As a digital + social media marketer, my skillset is still highly relevant regardless of being in an office or working remotely from home. Seeing all the noise of negativity and pessimism due to COVID-19, created a desire to bring positivity to light.

I started an Instagram Story series called “Greater Good”. The intention is to highlight all the good that is still happening in this world. It’s easy to fall into the downward spiral of doom and gloom especially with the indefinite end to this pandemic. By no means am I claiming any creative credit for any of the content featured; rather, I am surfacing the creativity and generating awareness amongst my peer network.

From large conglomerates converting their factories and resources to produce sanitizer and personal protective gear to local restaurants working their tails off to offer curbside pick up with specials for the community, there is no shortage of good. While the majority of the world is being mandated to shelter in place, Mother Earth is temporarily benefiting from lower levels of air pollutants and less carbon emissions. Let’s continue to social distance and flatten the damn curve!
